November Lust Have It!

Posted by Danae at 22:18 6 comments

So this month I was lucky enough to try out the November Lust Have It box!
After seeing many disappointed people with their previous boxes, I think that this box was a great come back and a lot of other people did too, which you can see on the Facebook page, here.

I think this months box has great value for the price you pay, featuring a full size, not yet released mascara, I think this box is amazing!

Onto the content:

The bag I received is the blue bag. I believe there were only two bags this month, blue and purple. The blue bag had the content I wanted to receive so I am very happy that I got this one.

On the card in the bag, Lust have it says that this will be the last pop color makeup bag you will receive and that they will now be bringing in collectible bags.

This bag didn't worry me seeing as this is the first time I've ever tried Lust Have It, but I'm super excited for the collectible bags, too!

The first thing in the bag was these Face of Australia cleansing wipes.
I currently use the smart skin wipes and adore them, but I have never tried another brand, so I think these will be great. I will use them after I finish my current pack of wipes.

It's also good that they're alcohol free. These retail for $4.95 for 25 wipes.

The next thing is the Davroe smooth senses straightening balm. There were multiple different Davroe products in this months boxes, and a lot of people seemed to have gotten ones they didn't want or need. I am unfortunately one of these people. I already have naturally straight hair so I won't be needing this.

I think it would be good for Lust Have It to have specific profiles for their members so they know which products would really benefit the person.

This retails for $20-$25.

The next thing is the Lomasi ginger lime body creme. I have never used a body creme before so this will be good to try out. You get 30ml and a full size of 236ml retails for $22.95.
The smell of this reminds me of lime and lemon fudge.

The second last thing in the box are these Star&Rose Hologram tweezers. I personally do not use tweezers, but I think they may be helpful in my false eyelash application, so I will find a use for them regardless. I think it's cute that these kind of match my background.
These retail for $9.95

The last and most exciting thing in the box this month, is a full size Model Co fibre Lashxtend Mascara, which hasn't even hit the Australian Shelves yet.

It has a handy mirror on the side for easy application.

This is the wand. I think this mascara will be great and I'm very excited to try it out!
This retails for $28, that means you get almost double the amount of the whole box worth, in one product!

On that note, this months box was great value.
Although some of the products in here won't work for me, I am still very happy with what I received!
You can check out Lust Have It's website here, if you are interested.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! What did you receive in your Lust Have It box?

MUA Haul

Posted by Danae at 19:31 18 comments
So as most of you probably know, MUA recently had a sale for hitting 40,000 (I think) Facebook likes. They had 35% off all products and free shipping world wide.

After seeing multiple people talking about this UK brand and how great it was for the price, I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to jump on the band wagon and get a couple of products.

Here is an overview of everything I got:

The first things I got are two lipsticks in the colors: shade 15 juicy and shade 4.

Here is a swatch: Juicy is on top and shade 4 is on the bottom.
Shade 4 is extremely sheer and not very buildable. The swatch below took a lot of swipes to even be able to see the color. It is very glossy.
On the other hand juicy is very pigmented and quite creamy.
These are one pound each in the online store so I think these are worth a try.

The next thing I got is the glitter eyeliner in Iced. It is basically just a glitter eyeliner. I bought this because I originally had the BYS glitter liner but have run out. I know a lot of people don't like the look of glitter eyeliner but I personally think it adds a great touch to a lot of eye looks.

This retails for one pound also so definitely worth a try.
Here is a swatch of the glitter liner:

The next thing I got is the intense color eyeliner pencil in lovely lilac.
This also retails for one pound.

Here is a swatch:

The next thing I got is the undressed palette. This palette is supposed to be a dupe for the naked palette, which I do not have so I can't say but if you Google it multiple posts come up.

I think this is a gorgeous palette of colors and I am SO glad I picked it up. It retails for 4 pounds on the website.

The last thing I picked up was the MUA false lashes in Vixen.
These retail for 2 pounds on the website.

That concludes my post. All up for everything I got it only cost me $10 AUD.
This is super cheap for so many products, in comparison to prices in Australia.
I can't wait for the next MUA sale so I can pick some more stuff up!
Hope you guys enjoyed this post!
I also have a thrift (op-shop) haul coming up, as well as hopefully a November Lust have it unboxing when I receive my box so keep your eyes out for those! :)

Mini Haul! - Review included.

Posted by Danae at 02:35 17 comments
So yesterday I was having a -must buy- something kind of day, if you know what I mean. Being low on cash I only picked up some essence, but seeing as its one of my favorite brands I really didn't mind. I think I might start having to "Shopping my Stash" as I've seen some other Aussie beauty bloggers do recently too!

So as you can see its only 2 items, but I figured seeing as I haven't blogged in quite a few days, longer break in between than I usually have, I should post anyways. I've been quite busy but, also being new to the blogging community am finding it hard to figure out WHAT to post.

Some of the bloggers I'm following can seem to make a post out of almost anything so I think I'll have to try and learn their ways so I can upload every 2-3 days!

Anyways onto the haul!

So the first thing I got is the essence nude glam nail polish in cafe ole. They recently changed the packaging and the formula so I decided I would pick one up, I never had an essence nail polish so I figured if they had improved I may aswell try it out now.. Right? Right. I believe it was $2.75 which if I am correct is about 20c more expensive than before, which isn't a big deal in my opinion.

The next and last thing I got is the essence eye shadow brush. After trying out the essence smokey eyes brush and liking it quite a lot for the price paid ($2.55) I figured I would try this one out too. It's been disappearing from all the shelves in my target and priceline so I thought I'd better jump at the offer. (any reason to buy right? ;)). This one was also $2.55 so it's not like I was forking out much.

Anyways I have a mini review of the nail polish too.
I think it's a gorgeous color and I like the name too. Café olé. It painted on well but it was runny and was too streaky with one coat so I needed to use 2 or 3.

I didn't use topcoat because I wanted to see how it chipped on its own. I think it looks gorgeous on, nude, but just noticeably different to the skin color. I would have a photo of this on but I painted it last night when the lighting was awful and it's all chipped now.

I currently have 3 nails left unchipped on one hand, 4 on the other. It chipped really easily, one of the nails chipped an hour after I painted it on. Therefore on its own this would probably be a pass for me despite its gorgeous color, but I will definitely try it out again with a topcoat!

Au revoir!

My First Haul!

Posted by Danae at 23:45 60 comments

Hey beautifuls!
So I had no idea what to call this post so that's why it's called "My First Haul". If you have any haul naming suggestions please leave them below, it would be muchly appreciated. Haha.

Anyways, a few days ago I picked up some clothing from Valleygirl and Dotti and last night I picked up some Essence stuff when I went to Target to check out the new Revlon Kissable Balm Stains and swatch them! Unfortunately my Target didn't have the $10 introductory price that I had read about on another blog, so I had to leave them today, but I left with some essence so yay!

Overview of everything I got ^^ vv

Okay so the first thing I picked up is an essence eyeshadow in 02 dance all night. It was the only eyeshadow on the rack that really drew me in and I thought it would look gorgeous in the inner corner or all over the lid. I love when people have their inner corner with a sparkly white type color and this was the closest thing I could find. It was $3.25 from Target.

The next thing I got is the essence stay with me longlasting lipgloss in 01 me and my icecream. Such a cute name! I love it! :) This is such a pretty color. I believe it was $3.95 but don't hold me against that price, because I can't really remember and I lost my receipt. *Silly me* hahaha.

The last thing from Target and essence was the eyeliner pen. It has a felt tip and claims to be "extra longlasting". I've never tried a felt tip liner before so I figured I'd try out this before deciding whether to pay $15 for the Maybelline Master Liner. This was $4.95.

The next few things I got are clothing items. I completely failed at taking photos of them so please bare with me. I have no idea where to put clothes and how to position them so these photos are awful. Haha, hopefully I'll get better with time!

The first piece of clothing I got were these dark colored denim shorts from Valleygirl. They were only $10 which is super cheap. I didn't have a pair of dark shorts so I figured I'd pick these up.

The next thing I got is this SUPER cute cut out eyelet style collar tie up shirt from Valleygirl. (please excuse my awful describing skills!). The photo is awful and does not do it justice at all! I feel so bad because of my awful photography skills, but once again, hopefully they'll improve with time. It was $19.95

The last thing I got was this lilac purple button up chiffon blouse from Dotti. Once again my photography is awful so please excuse it. It also does not do the shirt justice. I've already worn this a few times and think its gorgeous! I don't know the original price but I got it on sale for $10.

That's all for today! Hope you enjoyed reading this post. I think I'm obsessed with my new eyeshadow! (dance all night). What's your favorite eyeshadow this month?

Hey Beautiful!
So today I am doing my October Favorites! This is the first favorites post I've ever written so sorry if it's a little bit... unorganized.
Theres a LOT of essence this month!

Essence I ♥ Stage Eyeshadow Base
I love this eyeshadow base! I use it as not just an eyeshadow base, but also an undereye concealer! I double it up with another concealer and mix them together! Love this product!

Essence Stay with me Long lasting Lip gloss in 03 - Candy Bar
Really pretty color! Quite Opaque! Sticky but not too much that its gross. Love this color Looks gorgeous on the lips!

Essence Single Eyeshadow in 35 - Party All Night
I love this eyeshadow so much! I use it in the crease and it creates the perfect smoked out eye! Such a gorgeous color! I have used a lot of this recently as you can see!

Rimmel Volume Flash Scandaleyes Mascara
Love this mascara! Makes my lashes so long and full! Can get quite clumpy but if you know how to get rid of them this mascara works a treat!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001 - Translucent
The perfect translucent powder to set my foundation and concealer! Love this! Gives the perfect matte finish.
